Health Reform and You:

Navigating the Changing Health Insurance System in Illinois


This coming fall, Illinois will begin enrolling people in a new health insurance program that will help millions of Illinois residents buy health insurance- some for the first time. Come learn about how this program, as well as changes to Medicare and Medicaid, could help YOU and what it means to cancer patients.

The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) will be joined by:

  • Heather Eagleton, Illinois American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN)

  • Jennifer Koehler, Executive Director of the Illinois Health Exchange

What: Educational Forum to Learn Details of the New Health Insurance Program in Illinois & the Impact on Cancer Patients

Who Should Attend: All cancer patients and family members who want to learn about health care reform and how it will affect them.  Medicare and Medicaid patients, uninsured or under-insured individuals, and individuals interested in purchasing health insurance through the newly created federally-run marketplace.
